Management
Kevin Watts – Director, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr Watts has over 20 years experience working in the oil industry. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. and advised numerous oil industry clients before joining Enterprise Oil plc in 1984. He held the positions of Finance Manager and Deputy Controller before joining the company’s business development group in 1990. From 1995 he served on Enterprise’s Executive Committee and joined its main board as Corporate Development Director at the end of 1997. He has extensive international experience, leading Enterprise’s worldwide business development and corporate planning activities, and was responsible for a significant part of the company’s growth from the mid-nineties. He established new businesses for Enterprise in the international arena and was extensively involved in all major corporate deals, including its eventual sale to Shell in 2002. He was appointed Stratic’s President and Chief Executive in August 2005.
Tom Mackay – Senior Vice-Presdient, Technical
Mr. Mackay joined Stratic in 2002 as General Manager, running operations from the London office, and has been instrumental in building the existing portfolio of assets. He was appointed Senior Vice President, Technical in late 2005. Prior to joining Stratic he ran a well-respected petroleum consultancy for five years, acting for several major companies. He has over 25 years international experience gained in a variety of technical and managerial roles with Shell, Clyde Petroleum and Gulf Canada. Mr. Mackay is a graduate in Geology from the University of Durham.
Mark Bilsland – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bilsland has had an extensive career in the oil industry with the British National Oil Corporation, Enterprise Oil plc and Khanty Mansiysk Oil Corporation (“KMOC”). While at Enterprise from 1985 to 2000 he held senior positions as Project Evaluation Manager, General Manager, Australia and as Head of Corporate Planning for the group. On leaving Enterprise Oil in 2000, Mark became Chief Operating Officer of KMOC, a US corporation with oil and gas production in West Siberia, Russia, where he was responsible for the operational and financial management of KMOC. Mark holds a BSc degree in Geology and PhD in Petroleum Engineering. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Society of Professional Well Log Analysts.

Sir Graham Hearne - Director & Non-Executive Chairman
Sir Graham Hearne joined the Stratic Board in March 2005, bringing extensive experience in the oil industry and as an active member of the business community in the U.K. He currently sits on the board of a number of well-known UK and internationally listed companies, including N.M.Rothchild & Sons Ltd. and Vetco International Ltd. Sir Graham’s experience includes serving as Chief Executive of Enterprise Oil plc from its creation in 1984, becoming Chairman in 1991, through to its acquisition by Shell in 2002. In recognition of his services to the oil industry, Sir Graham was knighted in 1998.
Hugh G. Ross - Director & Vice Chairman
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director, Gentry Resources Ltd.
Mr. Ross has over 25 years industry experience, which includes working with exploration and production companies in Western Canada and in the international arena. From 1980 to 1990, Mr. Ross held various management positions from Land Manager to Secretary-Treasurer and Vice-President of Gentry Resources Ltd, an oil and gas company active in exploration throughout Western Canada, becoming its President and CEO in 1990. He also served as Stratic’s President and CEO from 1999 to 2005.
Amjad Bseisu - Director
President and CEO of Petrofac Resources
International Ltd.
Mr. Bseisu graduated from Duke University (BS, 1981), Stanford University (MS and PhD Engineering, 1984) and Southern Methodist University (MBA, 1989). He then embarked on a career at ARCO International Oil & Gas ultimately serving as a member of a seven-person executive management team. In 1998 Mr. Bseisu set up Petrofac Resources International Ltd., the resource and operations subsidiary of Petrofac, a leading oil services company, which has developed and operated assets in Algeria, Bolivia, Kyrgyzstan, Syria and the UAE, working in partnership with major companies. He is President and CEO of Petrofac Resources International Limited.
Colin Orr-Ewing - Director
Senior Researcher, Blakeney Capital Management
Mr. Orr-Ewing has been at Blakeney Capital Management, a London-based emerging market specialist, since 1994. He began his career as an investment manager for the Shell Pension Fund in London after completing his education as a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Orr-Ewing also has extensive experience in international financial affairs. He was deeply involved in the oil industry from 1971 through to 1987 with numerous companies in the North Sea, Libya, Nigeria and Algeria. Mr. Orr-Ewing has also served as a Director for a number of oil and gas exploration and development companies. He is a graduate of Oxford University in geography and geology.
A. Bruce Macdonald - Director
President, Stoneyfell Investments Inc.
Mr. Macdonald has over 40 years experience in the oil and gas industry in Canada and internationally and is currently President of Stoneyfell Investments Inc. Previously, he held the position of Executive Vice-President with Andex Oil Co. Ltd. and its successor, Enron Oil Canada. He also served as Vice-President of Operations for the Delhi International Oil Corporation based in Australia. That company was responsible for the discovery of the prolific Cooper Basin in central South Australia and for the initial development of gas processing facilities and pipelines serving markets in Sydney and Adelaide. Mr. Macdonald holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
John Weatherall - Director
Chairman, Scarthingmoor Asset Management
Mr. Weatherall is currently Chairman of Scarthingmoor Asset Management Inc., an investment councelling firm in Toronto, Canada. His previous experience includes serving as Chairman of Toronto Dominion Asset Management and a consultant to the Toronto Dominion Bank. Earlier in his career, he was a Director and member of the executive committee of Wood Gundy Inc.
