Akcakoca area
Following the successful testing of gas from four wells on the deeper Akcakoca trend, operator TPAO has commenced development activity on the Akcakoca and Akcakoca East discoveries as Phase 2 of the South Akcakoca Sub Basin development. The development is based on a single four legged jacket located over a production template between the Akcakoca and Akcakoca East discoveries, and is expected to be installed in the second half of 2010. The jacket will include a drilling capability, from which at least two further wells will be drilled later in 2010. Production will be tied back to the existing offshore pipeline system and is expected to commence late in 2010.
