Akkaya, East Ayazli and Ayazli
Phase 1 of the development of the South Akcakoca Sub Basin discoveries is now complete. Onshore gas processing facilities were completed in December 2006, and the tie in of the Akkaya field to the export pipeline system provided first gas in May 2007, with the East Ayazli field coming on stream in September. Production was shut in from November 2007 following a rupture of the Akkaya export line by a local fishing vessel. Production recommenced in February 2008 and first gas flowed from the Ayazli field in March 2008.
After initial commissioning problems, production performance from the Akkaya and Ayazli fields has been steady. Production from the East Ayazli field has been intermittent due to mechanical problems in the wells.
Gross production from the fields in 2009 was 5.1 bcf (0.62 bcf net to Stratic).
